As our number of cake orders and hence deliveries increase week to week, we're noticing an increasing number of calls to head office from customers wanting to know when their delivery will arrive, or how far away the driver is, or if he'll be there before 11am etc.

To make this a much smoother transaction, we've decided to implement a neat system whereby the customer receives an SMS the morning of delivery (around 6am), notifying them of their driver and the driver's phone number.

This way, the customer can get direct access to the driver without the hassle of calling head office, being put on hold or sometimes to have to be called back (if head office cannot get hold of the driver).

We're hoping to have this feature live within 2 or 3 weeks, so stay tuned!
