Some highlights of our delivery service are:
FREE delivery anywhere in Sydney: We deliver to all corners of Metro Sydney – covering a huge area. And delivery is free. 98% of suburbs have a minimum order of only $50. Some suburbs on edges of Sydney have a higher minimum.
Delivery 7 days a week: Early 2020, we decided to try Sunday deliveries to see how it went. It was a huge success with high demand from customers. It’s now a permanent part of our delivery service. No Sunday delivery surcharge – just another day for Looma’s.
9.30pm order cut off time for next day delivery: This is a big one. A couple years ago, our order cut off time for next day was 4pm. However we noticed an increasing number of enquiries from customers for next day orders after 4pm. So we knuckled down, grinded and built an awesome process to allow orders up to 9.30pm for next day. Customers are in awe when they order 9.25pm and receive their cake before 9am the next day!
Delivery time-window options: Another awesome feature of our delivery service. We offer you delivery time window options for when you need a product at a specific time. This is available for any suburb in Sydney. Time window options include:
- Between 8 and 10am
- Between 9 and 11am
- Before 1pm
In-house delivery drivers: Most other cake companies in Sydney use a courier service to deliver their cakes – this leads to a much lower standard service. Our drivers are all in-house Looma’s employees, which means they know our products well, can answer your questions on the fly, can fix delivery issues a lot easier with intimate communication with Looma’s customer service, and have much more incentive to delight you as a customer than a “one time” courier driver does.
Delivery ETAs: Each morning around 8am we send out SMS to customers with a 2hr window ETA of expected delivery time. Customers love this feature of our delivery service. It makes it easier to plan their day around delivery time without having to wait around all day for delivery.
Direct contact with driver: Along with order ETA, we SMS driver's name + number. Having driver’s name and number provides an easy way to relay messages to driver such as “I’ve just stepped out to pick up the kids, leave order on the porch – thanks!”.
